Switching to new dog food

Post by kevindd992002 »

A quick question: when changing our dog's food and following the standard ratio of old food to new food advertised by taste of the wild (brand of the new food we have), which volume should I base the percentages on? The old food volume or the new food volume? These volumes are different between each dog variety as expected.

Another question:

This is the new food that I have: http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/do ... d-venison/ . Walter is just a puppy (8 months at around 30 lbs.). There's a puppy version of that food: http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/do ... d-venison/ but it is not available in our country. I still decided to use the regular TOTW High Prairie since it is consider "for All Stages" by AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles. My only concern though is which feeding guide should I follow in those links? The puppy version has a colum for 8-12 months but the regular version doesn't. Of course, the puppy column gives you more cups/day so I'm not sure which one I should follow?
