Buying Food Online, Free delivery over $49

Post by 612guy »

I know this isn't chow related but going to get dog food takes time and muscles. I have the muscles but time is limited. I drive for the big brown trucks and seem to deliver more pet food lately but thought the shipping cost must be high. Just found out if you spend $49 shipping is free so I put in an order. Not only was it cheaper and no sale tax. My co-worker said chewy.com was a great site and he uses them. I found other sites but they were the cheapest. You just have to make sure you order before you run out but it's usually delivered in a few days. Just wondering if anyone else does it?

Your post is actually extremely helpful! Informed my relatives who own dogs and live in the States about chewy.com. Dog food is pretty bulky and heavy so it's convenient for them to order online and stock up. $49 is pretty easy to ring up with their Giant dogs (mastiff, great pyrenees and Leonberger) food. If I lived in the States it would help me too as my Chestnut (Chow Chow) only eats premium and grain free so $50 is a breeze to ring up.

Great post 612...

I ran out of food recently when Amber decided she didnt want to stay at a show. I hit up the vendors and since they didnt carry my breed was looking for something that would kill her digestive system on a quick change.

They recommended a holistic food that was based on Bison. We tried and she loved it. Very digestable with no side effects, so we decided to change both dogs to it.

Obviously, it was pricey buying from the show vendors, but we found it readily available from the online retailers. I bought from Wag.com and they seem very competitive on pricing. They too offer free shipping on orders over $45 and the shipping is VERY quick. 2nd day or something like that.

1st order arrived in total dust. I thought i ordered the wrong item, but the dogs still enjoyed it. 2nd order came through completely intact and in the size/shape that i thought it was going to be. Really fun to watch the "brown" driver haul a 50lb bag up to the door.
