teeth loose need soft food recipes

Post by chowpups »

Hi guys, Nikki has oral/nasal cancer and we're trying to give her soft food that will give her some good calories but yet soft due to the fact her teeth are loose and some were removed so she has stitches etc. her appetite is weaning so I am looking for some good recipes if anyone has any that might help. I've given her ground beef and mashed potatoes rolled in balls. but she's getting tired of the same old stuff. The vet said canned soft food but I feel like I should cook her stuff thats good and tasty.. to keep her interested in eating. Anyone ever cook for they dogs? (soft stuff that is). She has trouble picking it up from the bowl so I've been rolling it in meatball forms and feeding it to her.. ?

You can easily follow a raw regime, which would be healthiest, all you have to do is grind the food.
You can often pick up really good meat grinders on freecycle or on ebay.
There 's nothing stopping you from cooking either. Simply grind up the food.

I found this on a google search, Nancy. Never tried it, but I thought I'd share what I found. :)
