Feeding Questions

We are considering getting a second dog to be a companion to our three year old Chow. My question is how do people recommend feeding the dogs. The first thought was to just have two food bowls, but there is no way our Chow doesn't go after the food in both bowls. Do you just feed them in different areas or is there some training technique involved. For cats it is not a problem since they are grazers. Suggestions welcomed!
