Housebreaking

Post by Newbie »

I am looking for some advice on housebreaking. I have 3 month old chow who is an absolute joy, but for some reason, will only do #1 ouside and #2 inside on my carpet. I let him out and wait outside with him in hopes he will do his business and i can praise him, but i never catch him in the act. I let him inside and as soon as I turn my back he goes #2 on my living room room carpet.

It is becoming very frustrating. Espeically since there is someone home with him 24/7. I am letting him out immediately after waking up and approx 20-30 minutes after he eats. I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Housebreaking your Chow

Take your Chow for a walk, even a short one, morning and night. Be sure to take a bag for the poop. My Chow (my 4th) relieves herself like clockwork when we go on our morning walk. If I miss a day, she has to go twice or three times on our walk. Smart animals, like our Chows, do not like to soil their own yard.
