Post by Baymaxthewhite »

Hi, i have male chow2, he is 4 months old right now, but everytime i trying to play with him, all he do was biting my hand and legs, what should i do toteach him not to bite? I know he is in early stage, i gave him a lot of bone and toys for his teeth, still he only want to bite me :(

At the top of this thread/forum there is a 'best of training' permanent thread with a link on bite inhibition that you can check out if you haven't. My Shuggy was very mouthy as a pup so when we played I mostly used a stuffed toy between us. When he did nip me I would 'yelp' and stop play/ignore him for a bit til he calmed down. Puppies are all mouth and it is just normal growing pains with most of them although my Chloe was never that way. I really think they just outgrow it but those little teeth can hurt! I didn't want him to ever think that it was okay to use his mouth on me though so I didn't encourage it or play a lot of tug or push him away ( they bounce right back).
