Puppy and Senoirs

I have been considering an addition to my pack. I have been thinking now of a Puppy instead of an older Chow closer to the age of my two. My female is some what dominate, but it is vocal, talks the talk but does not walk the walk.
My male is very tolerant but has his limits and has delivered a single bite to the females neck on rare occasions.
I read once older Chows bond with puppies and enjoy teaching them Chow behavior. A person I know recently told me a puppy with either be accepted or killed by the elders.
