my chow pup is barking randomly

hello, me again.....

So this is my 2nd week with my 4 month chow and he has been super calm and angel like. Today he is barking nonstop which is weird for him. I work entire day but he isn't all alone since my mom and dad are home. He would bark after eating and going outside to poop and pees. I have several theories.
1. Puppy energy
2. Just found his bark.
3. Influence by neighbors dog which barks nonstop at night.

I do admit I do goto him when he barks but that was only 2 days ago.

suggestions and root cause of this behavior.

EDIT: this morning I woke up the chow is just fine when I left the house it started to bark. So, my fourth theory is separation anxiety...
any tips on dealing with these?

My answer is D, all of the above. Give him plenty of exercise and an outlet for all that energy and he'll be fine.

Dogs have a range of vocalization, so you might want to listen to your puppy and see if you can figure out what he is balking about. Sojourner11 is correct that It is probably all of the above.
