Why did you shave him? There are some great products on the market for fleas- Frontline and Revolution are both very effective. If nothing else, make sure you treat for fleas with one of these products monthly. Don't use Advantix- it's really bad for cats and our vet won't even sell it to people who have cats in their homes.

I'd stay far away from flea collars, as well. They've been known to kill pets because they are such a strong pesticide that is that close to their faces.

Good luck with the fleas.

ADVANTAGE is the worst...just the worse.
I tried it once and almost killed poor JR.
Frontline is fine, however, I really don't like any of them much...too toxic. Thank goodness I only have use frontline in summer about every 6 weeks or so.

hahaha ya i shaved him because all the bites on his butt were killing him to itch and bite, so the only way i could get to them was the shave him... plus i've always wanted to do it :D the vet was closed yesterday but i'm going to get some flea meds today sometime.

:D it was a challange to say the least.... it probably took and hour (we had to give him breaks). Aside from all the Biting and claws digging in, it was ok. He was good about it over all. But i've been bathing my cats since they were 8 weeks old so they dont hate it, they make the "i'm gunna kill you" sound but they just sit and take it.
