Hello everybody, it's really neat to see so many beautiful dogs on here. I am always browsing the forum finding answers and learning more about Chows. I am in China so finding a good vet isn't as easy as you might hope, I even had to craft some make-shift casts for his front legs. So, thanks to the members and creators of this site for your contributions.

My Buddy Bear, he's an awesome companion. 8 years old new, seems like yesterday he was a ball of fur with a black muzzle and ears.

After seeing so many beautiful pictures our your lovely buddies, I just can't resist myself to share too hehe.

I named my girl Fei Chow after I got her when she was three months old.

My Cody, a chow golden mix. I am very comforted by reading this board. He is a stubborn boy, and after being a golden owner for the last 20 years, I am relieved to know that it is him that is a bit crazy and not me. He growls when he is hugged (we now call it talking because he does it so much) , he has selective hearing like I have never seen, and he charms the pants off of us! I just love the heck out of him. He was a rescue, I saw his pic online and could not stop thinking about him. I had no idea he was a Chow mix until I went to meet him. He was charming and pushy. He rode the entire drive home on my lap..LOL He was rescued from a pound and only has three legs now. He had nerve damage and had to have his front leg amputated. He has no idea that he is missing a leg though, and would outrun any marathon runner in a heartbeat! After he was rescued, he spent two years with the rescue group in an indoor/outdoor kennel with a Shepard, until we adopted him. He is a bit fearful of some people.. he is very selective of who he likes and does not like. He is also very protective, something I was never used to with golden's. We also have two golden rescues that he gets along great with and completely adores. He loves all other dogs and usually most children. I have only had issues with some adults that he did not like. It is their issue though and they were not listening to my advice about giving him space and not sneaking up on him unannounced.
