Well, the first week with BooBooBear has been great. He is such a love, he doesn't chase the cats, doesn't bark until he hears me come home. We had our first Vet appointment last Monday for an exam. He was okay until someone stuck a needle in his back for a shot. That made him mad and he barked and growled at the vet. But I would have done the same thing if someone had crept up on me and poked me with a needle. He weighs 65 lbs. and the vet thinks he can gain another 5 lbs. I thought he was quite solid without another 5 lbs. He walks on the lease, doesn't bark or whine at other dogs or lunge at anything. I am just amazed at great his manners are.

Here is a picture of him. I'm thinking of renaming him Dudley.

I like the name Dudley gets my vote, You should repost this in the general section You will have more people seeing Dudley's story and how well its turned out. Never mind, I ment when it was in the Chows needing a home section.

A guy that handsome, he's GOT to be "Studley" Dudley! I just love me those all-black chows. They're always completely gorgeous!

Very handsome boy! He's a big boy too, I wouldn't be surprised if he did put on that 5 lbs, looks like his chest could deepen a bit more. And just to confuse, I like the way you signed your name, BooDudley.
