New to the group and introducing my 2 sweethearts.
Kovu is my red male and he is 3 years old. Gracie is our newest baby and she is 8 weeks old. Black female. It has always been my dream to have 2 chows of 2 different colors and this new black Christmas baby has totally stolen the hearts of the entire family now. I could gush on and on forever about them and how wonderfully friendly and loving they are to everyone they meet. LOL Thanks for looking.

Oh, too cool another new puppy! The boy is cute too! I have a almost five year old black female and a almost six month old red puppy. Have two of different colors is kind of special. Have two of the same color is great too.

Thanks for such a warm welcome. I am a passionate Chow lover. These are my second and third chows. Keisha was my first and she was very much like Gracie. We think she died from a brain tumor. She suddenly had seizures that came in clusters and we had her put to peace. She was 12 yrs old and also it was just discovered that she had a huge mass on her breast. It all happened so fast that she deteriorated. That was 3.5 yrs ago now but will always be fresh in my mind. UGH She was AMAZING.
Kovu our red one is actually Gracie's uncle. He's on his way to be neutered on Jan. 8th.
Our breeder told us that Gracie is really "compact" and would be excellent for breeding but I asked for her long before she was born so she just couldn't keep her on me. Thankfully. We drove 6 hours from Canada to Oregon to pick her up and she didn't even mind that she left. Of course we brought our Kovu (red chow) with us to welcome her before our 3 kids got to love on her when we got throught the door at home.
They are both amazing and so loving. Kovu will hold his paw out for the vet to trim his nails. LOL
Carolyn - Wow 7 of those beautiful huggable creatures. In my dreams or maybe retirement. LOL My mom is currently trying her older chow on nuvet (I haven't tried it for my dogs yet) but it seems to be working for Tayo. He's doing the stairs with ease now. His hips have been his biggest issue.
Tovya - Kovu's dad is a white (cream) chow named Chubaka.
Judy - Thank you.
Boggled - I take tons of pictures. I think on Saturday she will be 9 weeks. She just started getting up the stairs yesterday. Too funny. She can't get down so she cries.
Auddymay - Thank you. I picked that gorgeous name even before she was born. I love it. I let the kids pick Kovu's name and it came from the Lion King 2.
TXSusiQ - That was my sales pitch to my husband. We just moved to a big home and I wanted Kovu to have a friend. The cat is so bossy to him. LOL
Victory - Yeah just to have 2 chows is a dream for me in itself. LOL My hubby picked red after we lost our black Keisha bear and then now I'm ready for another black.
OK I could bore you forever about them.
Thanks for listening and I'm so glad this site is here.
