It goes well I guess. Other than keeping him calm and giving him his meds I wasnt given a idea of what to expect or watch for, but no obvious complications as of yet. We just ended our 5th week and he seems to be fine. I must confess he did get turned loose in the back yard when Emma decided to do the old HA down the street. When I got her back and called him he bounded over to me like a happy fox or deer thru the woods. At feedings he sometimes like to bark now, just out of the blue a nice loud single fire... RUHOOOF! First time scared the shiot outt me But he is putting on weight and is the sweetest and most loving and least trouble out of the 3. If we had to pick a public spokedog for Chows to break stereotypes he'd be perfect. Loves hands in the face, hugs, kisses, smiling, being picked up, no food aggression, not aloof at all. I wonder at his past and how if he was tied up to a tree how is he not wilder in nature instead of a big creampuff.
If you think his teeth need cleaning try the dental biscuits, I've been giving Pekoe one every morning for most of her life they seem to help, everytime she is sedated they check her teeth they are fine, she's never had to have a cleaning nor has had any dental problems.. I use Nutro dental biscuits of course but there are other brands. Nutro Natural Choice Tartar control, Blue box.
