Things are getting settled around here. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to have to lock the puppy in the bathroom while I was at the baby shower. Bear was acting really strange. But I spent a lot of time with all of them this morning and by the time I left the house I figured it would be safe to leave them out together. I was gone for several hours and the house was still in one piece when I got back and so is the puppy.
I'm tired of not calling him anything (he'll start thinking his name is Bear since I've been talking/yelling at him so much in the past couple days). The owner said he called him Big Boy, so I was gonna call him Kip. Not sure if anyone remembers Kip's Big Boy restaurants or not. He'll still be young enough to rename once he finds a new home.
Time to call it a night and relax. Thanks for all the good thoughts and assistance.

Thanks to everyone! This has been a crazy weekend! I just got off the phone with Joyce in Gladewater, Texas and think she's going to adopt Kip this weekend.
An update on the little guy - he's so sweet. I think his ears are going to start standing up...they do every so often now. I'm leaning more towards PB now after watching him all weekend. He's got the curled tail, the temperment, and the bow-legged waddle. He ADORES Bear and is kind of afraid of Ping. He latches onto Bear's ruff and when Bear pulls back and up, he lifts him off the ground. It's so funny to see Bear's huge mouth and teeth opening wide and taking Kip's leg, head, whatever into his whole mouth. So far he hasn't clamped down which is what I was intitially afraid of. Kip keeps going back for more...I don't know whether he's brave or dumb.
chowfrnd88, Ping's mat is one of those Canine Coolers. You fill it with water and it stays cool. She loves it. Bear wouldn't even step on it. Kip likes it. It weighs a ton when it's full. Here's a pic of Kip relaxing on the other dog bed (Ping's alternate bed - she's a material girl).

Ivana had chow mix puppies and the ones that were black had all black tounges even though they were mixed. It normally will turn by 8 weeks but by 12 weeks they have gotten all the color they will in thier mouths. If you check this video (I posted before but don't remember where) you can see the black ones with thier mouths open and all black tounges
where in this one they were 4 weeks and still had pink mixed in thier mouths
so the pups may just need a couple more weeks to get thier color. Some mixes you can never tell they are mixes. Like Ivanas two pups and the dad of Ivanas pups the only indicator he was mixed is that he was too small to be a chow.

Hi chow lovers!! Lucky is HOME forever! PERFECT match and fillyok is one WONDERFUL person!! Lucky and I fell in love! On the way home from meeting fillyok, he would lay down and rest his head on my arm or he would stand on his hind legs facing the rear window and lay his head on my shoulder. I thought that was the sweetest thing in the world! We went to Petco and EVERYONE had to talk to him or about him because he is the cutest chowling if I do say so myself!!
He has explored the house, explored the yard, played with toys, eaten and now is passed out on the floor on the cool tile right beside me. I just love him so much! Thanks to everyone, this baby has a forever family!

Update on Lucky
Lucky is adjusting to his new home wonderfully! He is such a charmer! He follows everyone around and loves to stay right where we are. If I am at work and my daughter is on the computer, he will lay right under her chair.I will get some pictures on here so we can all watch him grow up; just gotta find the software for my scanner or my camera. My hard drive crashed in June and I KNOW I put that stuff in a good place, just can't find it Fillyok....the harness is great and I use it because Lucky is FAST. I had to adjust it really small, he is a furball! Thanks again to everyone, I LOVE my baby boy!
