so Happy I just had to share :-)

Post by Sirchow »

About four years ago our desk top died and took all my Bramble baby pics with it except a few I had on an external drive. MY son tried to get them off the hard drive but they were all corrupted. I thought that they were all gone forever till today I got an email from photobucket and suddenly thought I wonder if any of them were on there....well I was nearly in tears to see how many were....literally a couple of dozen or more. Pics I forgot even existed, Here a few just because I feel like sharing.....

That is so fantastic to read, and even better to see.

What beautiful pics. Glad to see off-site storage works. We back up regularly to an external hard drive, but you just never know.

Thanks for sharing, i really did enjoy the pics and particularly your excitement.

Congratulations on the recovery of lost photos! Yay for Photobucket! After a few years of trying to manage multiple hard drive backups, I decided to go back to an off-site photo storage service. It's worth $40/year to have all my digital photos & videos backed up in the cloud. Even backup/archive hard drives that are not used often can fail or get corrupted. Same goes for DVDs or, for us old-timers, CDs.

Great pictures. Since the first of the year, I have had the harddrive on the laptop fail and then the desktop had to be replaced. I don't think I lost any pictures, but I should have had backup. Glad you got yours back.
