Re: Rory going Blonde for the Summer
Rory looks very good but like Brutus he's still a teenager. How is his adult fur coming in so far? Part of me wants to fast forward to Brutus being full grown but I know being young doesn't last forever.

Wish I could get my hair that colour!!!! I agree 612guy I can't wait to see what Rio will be like at age 3ish. Dread to think what he will weigh though (25kgs and growing lol)

Re: Rory going Blonde for the Summer
I can almost relate to that Rory's Dad! except, we have the opposite problem. Ty is actually redder/darker in the summer. He's been growing his winter undercoat back in over the last month (weird right? I mean he lost it in February and now he's getting it back? Early I think) but since his undercoat is white, or creamish, he actually looks more like a cream when it all grows in versus having less and looking like a light red. This is why I have such a hard time figuring out what color he is, other than golden or blond which we know are not true chow colors. His lineage has a lot of creams in it. Some cinnamon, and some red so it's no surprise he's a weird color. Though I've only ever found one single black hair on him.

Rory is looking very handsome. Cocoa is like Ty, she seems redder in the summer than she does when the winter undercoat comes in. Her undercoat is quite a bit lighter too.

Re: Rory going Blonde for the Summer
sent the same pics as an update to Rory's breeder. She thinks another 6 months before full adult fur comes in. They are figuring more towards cinnamon now rather than red as presented when we got Rory, so they are refunding me $5K (kidding). Rory does have a lot of black undercoat.
Thanks for the positive responses. Rory is a bit egotistical, and he appreciates it.

Ty Clover...feed Rory's ego, just what he needs.
Rory will be in Falmouth in 2 weeks for show. Good excuse to get to the Cape whether points are on the line or not.
