Was just....

Post by Tippsy'smom »

I was just flipping through old pictures tonight; missin' my Tippsy-girl; and even though I know I've shared these here before, I wanted to post these few again... It's been almost 15 months since I said goodbye to my girl, and some days; like today; it feels like it was just yesterday.... I'm reminded of her everyday in things that Dixie and Jazz learned from her, and in Dixie's looks....

I do believe that is the first time I have seen these photos, Tippsy you were beautiful. Thanks for sharing. It's great to have photos of the good and goofy times.

She was adorable, she looked like such a happy puppy. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to her? Thanks for posting!

Thanks. It's been a few years since I've posted them...

Thank you. I lost her to a combination of old age and cancer... She was diagnosed with lymphoma, and 2 weeks later I had to make the decision to let her go.

I am sure if she could have she would have thanked you for having to make such a difficult decision. She was stunning.

Rio said it as well as can be said. I made that same decision with two of my prior boys...Kodi had a very bad case of degenerative hip disease and could no longer get up from a laying position without my help, and he yelped everytime i picked him up. Teddee suffered seizures at 9 years and didnt recognize his family coming out of them. Sometimes those hardest decisions are harder on us and are the best decisions for our friends.

Thank you. I believe she would have too. She let me know it was time and that she just couldn't fight it anymore... And that's what gave me the strength to make the decision. I'm just glad I was attentive enough to understand what she was telling me.

Thank you.

I actually slept in the floor with her, her last night. As afraid as I was to say goodbye, I had actually hoped she would pass away in her sleep that night... But she didn't and the next day, my grandma and I took her into my vet and my vet opened up her schedule for us. And I'm glad I was able to hope her and let her know how much I LOVE her as we said goodbye...

This was her just days before I had to let her go... She rode along with my mom and I to take Jazz and Dixie to a low cost rabies vaccination clinic...

OMG I have such a love /hate relationship with your posts of Tippsy. I love how you remember and reflect on your lives together, BUT every time I'm bawling my eyes out for you. You wrote under one of the pics that she tolerated so much of you, that isn't true, she adored you as much as you adore her!

I remember the day I had to say goodbye to my Rodger boy, 9 yrsold Bullmastiff Purebred, I just said thank you and kissed him.

I'm sorry. I'm usually bawling my eyes out writing about her. When we let her go; I almost couldn't bring myself to stop hugging her... Even after I KNEW she was gone... When it came to Tippsy, I always said that she was "my heart, my soul, my everything". I don't think anything could have been more true.
