Thank you.Can you see the chow in pumkin. She loves to sleep as it seems most chows do.What breed do you think her farther might be.She weighs about 40 pounds.

I deffinately see the chow in her. And I'm thinking Shepherd as her mix? Does she have an all purple tounge or a polka dotted tounge?

That'swhat we used to think Shepard but now I think she would have been bigger if she was a shepard.as full bread chows are big and so are shepards. When she was a puppy she looked just like shepards do when they are puppies which is quite differant then the full growns. Her togue was purple when she was a pup.It changed to mostly pink with a big purple spot.

Pumkin is actually bigger than some female chows on this board. My female goes between 42-45 lbs. But one or my friends use to have a chow/rottie mix who only weighed 38 lbs. She was tiny for her mix.

My mix boys tounge started out mostly pink with one tiny purple spot, but now it's almost completely purple. I love his polka dots. :inlove:

Oh well what ever she is I love her.The easiest dog I have ever owned.Your two are beautiful.Only one thing about her I don't like the shedding.I found out better quilty dog food helps a little.Kerry Blues don't shed at all.It must be something when both your's are shedding alot.Pumkin sheds year round.

Thank you. :)
It is quite something when they both shed. I'm glad Tippsy will be done by the time Jazz really gets goin'. I do enjoy brushing them though. It's good bonding time with them. :) Our yorkie, Max, doesn't shed at all either.

How funny you have a Max too.I would love to get a third dog.A small one like a Pug or King Charles. But my husband would want to re-home me and all the dogs if I did that.Ha ha.I think it might be better if they sheded the same time get it over with at once.
I wonder why they don't living in the same climate ,most likely same diet you would think they would.I try to brush them alot you can fill bags with pumkins hair when you brush her.

 Yeah, our Max is kind of a pain though. I'm not a big fan of him or the chihuahua, Lil Bit. They're WAY too yappy for my taste. I'd love to have a lot more dogs. But my dad would rehome my mom, the dogs, cats, birds and I.

I don't know why they don't shed at the same time, but it could be because of Tippsy's age. She'll be 10 in May. And Jasper is only a year old.

Humm, when I saw pumkin I kind of remembered my sheltie with the 3 colors white, black and brown. But the ears don't match a shelties I don't think?? Anyway pumkin and Max are cute together. I wish Nikki had a little brother or sister to play with sometimes..And I had a shepherd/chow and she was taller than the chow heights. So she definitely took on the shepherd body size but the fur of a chow.. it all depends on which gene dominates..

For the most part they do. Tinkerbell and Precious don't much care for the dogs, but we don't have issues with them. Koda sleeps and eats with the dogs, right out of their bowl with them, and he cleans their faces. :) Little Miss Lullaby Kitty however, run like her life depends on it. She's the freaky one who prefers to just hide in my room. But all of them just ignore our birds, Pete(the cockatiel) and Ghost and Rio (the parakeets).
