I agree Coco!! If Suki had slightly longer fur around her face, she would be identical to him! They're the exact same build and colouring! Oh I love the creams! :D

Steve, Snoopy is a beauty!! Such a beautiful creamy colour and he has a lovely chunky face!

Well good and bad news. Winston went to dog training on Saturday and has been promoted to the next group, he is the youngest in his class at 4.5 months and next oldest dog is 11 months. Everyone was really impressed and the dog trainers all said we have a really smart dog !!! Yeahhh little Winston.

Anyhow last week after training he came home with a rash around the fur edge of his belly. Sure enough on Saturday night he was acting strangely and sure enough his complete belly and armpits had flared up, poor boy was in pain and carrying on during the night. Gave him a antibiotic and cream for the skin and he settled down. Was OK on Sunday so we are certain the dog park grass doesn’t agree with Winston.

Will be using a T-Shirt on him for future training lessons !! Maz want’s a Camouflage T-Shirt and he was doing commando crawls on the weekend. She couldn’t help but show his skills of when she got home and on Sunday as well. He is such a good dog. (this was his 2nd week)

His Red gorilla almost lost his head on the weekend so I have re-stuffed his head and put him in storage, (my boys first toy, Yes I’m a softie) anyhow bought him some new toys on Sunday and he has now taken to his Yellow tiger !!!

Will need to get some video of his skills as he is so good. Also after buying the toys I bought some nail clippers to cut his baby nails off, I hit the quick on one nail and he bleed for a while, gez I felt bad !!! I was so worried. Even though I had another foot to do he just laid there enjoying the attention!! I think as we do his eyes three times a day and a belly rash check at the same time he is used to the attention and being man handled.

On the weekend we had to tow the Mother In law’s new car to Brisbane (650 miles each way). Had a mates ute for the weekend so decided to take the boys as well. Had no choice as all our dog sitters were away.

Winston had been on a few small road trips (Sussex 2.5 hours south) and been well behaved. This was a 12 hour trip North and he behaved excellent. I have heard puppies take on the characteristics of the older dog, and I now swear by it ! He was calm the complete way and they only stopped when we did for fuel, every 2-3 hours. Maz would take them for a wee walk while I refuel.

Gave the boys a ride in the ute and Winston loves it, however I’m afraid if his wasn’t tied in he would have fallen out, he kept on leaning further and further out, He is such a cutie as all his wrinkles get pushed back and looks even more Chinese.

Here is a ton of photos

Such a gorgeous boy, Winston. I love the sprawled out on the seat pics.

Just a word of warning. A friend of mine had her GSD tied in the back of a her truck and he jumped. He was tied quite short so the back part of his body went over the side and he hung from his neck. He was OK though he broke three ribs on the side of the truck. Dont want to be a spoil sport but it was scary how much damage was done on a short lead.

Hi Steve!

Great pics of Winston! He's getting big isn't he?! He's a little beauty!

Just to let you know that I took Suki to the skin specialist last week and it turned out that she has juvenile impetigo which is caused by her scratching. The reason she's scratching and biting all the time is because she's allergic to fleas! She actually had fleas just on her back end so we've treated them and she's currently on antibiotics to clear up any infection caused from her scratching.

The reason why it flares up when she's been laying on the grass is because grass can obviously contain fleas from other dogs, birds, rabbits, cats etc. I'm wondering whether Winston is maybe suffering with the same allergy as it seems he's only affected by the grass and he has the same kind of rash in exactly the same places?

Nicki,

Glad it looks better for Winston’s little great Auntie (Who is of similar age, just trips me out)

Winston is getting better allergy wise and no bad reactions recently. Was down at the dog park the yesterday afternoon, which is the same place as dog training. Last night and this morning his belly looked fine. Whilst down there yesterday I looked at the grass and it is Kiku which is common but with lot’sa Dandelions. But as noted he was OK last night.

My gut feeling is when he’s hot, the skin is prone to, or open to taking in allergies and hence the problem. Still no real outbreaks since we covered up the wool in our house !!

Good thing with Winston being a cream boy, is that finding fleas is easy, no fleas to explain any reactions at this time.

Just glad your making progress with Suki. I looked at some of Suki's photos on another forum (forgot the name) she is so cute. MAz and I both work in North Sydney and whenever we get toghether all we want to do is go home and cuddle Winston. We let Duff sleep on our bed last night and he needed some loving, much to the detriment of our sleep, but Duff Duff was happy !!!

I swear our friends think were nuts as we talk and treat our dogs like humans !!! Whilst talking on our weekend road trip. The thing I find most worried about for the boys is when travelling they have no concept of how long this goes for, how long has it been, why we are travelling, etc, Yet beside all this they accept it and love you all the same.

My other main hobby is the 60 Series Nissan Patrol
http://www.rmp-o.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1198&start=0
Anyhow whilst driving Winston to the dog park in my Blue Ute Patrol I opened the direct air vents between the windscreen and dashboard. Winston being a dog that just LOVES the fresh air quickly jumped up with his paws on the dash board, rear feet on teh seat still, bridging the front floor gap. He was so cute, but I was worried about him slipping and falling into teh footwell and taking his head out on the dash in the process. Closed the vents after that.
