There were alot of problems I am having an autopsey done on her because i want to know exactly what happened to her she was to young and was very healthy untill a few weeks ago! She was in alot of pain , she started throwing up everything coulnd not even keep water down.Ran bloodwork did xrays the vet could not find anything and she was getting weaker and weaker...the vet sent me and her to a animal hospital in oakville and they did tests on her and ultrasounds and found that her stomak was perforated and there was fluid leasking into her abdomen, she was missing a kidney, her small intestines had distended loops her pancreas was inlarged, her liver was and gall bladder were distended. They suggested operating on her right away but they could only give me a 25% chance she would make it through the surgery. Her body was shutting down , she could hardly lift her head. So i brought her back home and me and my husband spent a few more hours with her and then i took her into the vets and had her euthanised :( It was terrible watching her she was hurting so much and yet being so strong. She will be missed . Its been a very hard week and the boys miss her terribly. The vets diagnosis was gastric perforation and septic pertonitis, fluid filled uterine stump of unknown etiology.

Leisha this has made me cry once again for the love of a lost one, how sad and how terrible, I like the otheres here know how you feel, we have all lost a loved one at some time, and yes even very young loved ones, As she crosses the rainbow bridge rest assured that all our chows will be there to guide her onto a more peacefull life, and to return some day full and well again.

I am shocked and so sad for you all to have to say goodbye to your dear Kimba. Know that she is safe and free from pain now and playing with all the other chows that have gone before her. God bless.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Kimba was beautiful. What a sad story. You made the right decision...it sounds like she was in too much pain for you to do anything else. And don't forget, she WILL be waiting on Rainbow Bridge for you!!
