Misty
Misty's time has come, She courageously fought blindness and then cancer. She was having problems going to the powder room and had practically stopped eating. She didn't appear to be in pain but I am sure she was days away. She went very peacefully in my arms. Thank you Misty for being a "fabulous beautiful woman" and enriching our lives. We pray that you are free, happy , pain free and can once again see.
Love all of us.

David,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. It is so hard to lose a companion. Know that she knew she was loved and life was good because of you. She is with you now in spirit with all her faculties and pain free. Remember the happy times and know that those are what she remembers too.

David, I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Misty. It's painful to lose one we loved so much. Misty's struggles are over. She was a brave little girl.

I am very very sorry for your loss...
Misty had a very long life. She was loved and happy to be closed to you I'm sure.
I hope the other furkids will give hugs and kisses today.

Sorry to hear about misty but you gave her your all and stuck with her.
Re: Misty
I'm so sorry to hear about Misty. From the short amount of time I've been on here, I can tell that you love your dogs and give them the best care possible. Misty couldn't have asked for anyone better. I think her health and eyesight are now fully restored and she is happily running with many friends. Someday, you'll see her again. Take care.

Farewell, beloved Misty. Run free with joy on that gentle road towards peace. You were dearly loved.

Oh David I am so, so sorry. She is happy and whole again and she'll be waiting for the rest of her family. I'm so ashamed I did not even pick up on Misty's passing in your other post. You're in my thoughts.
Kiwani, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Oh thank you everyone,I know I have been quiet for a while because of Mistys decline and it really warms my heart that so many of you care. We are doing ok, Really. The boys are coping. In time we will remember the good times, the boys already are. I am still thinking about her last few hours but in time I too will remember more and more of the good times.
Misty is in a better place and although we miss her and the house seems strangely quiet with one less dog, I know that she had a good life considering her health and she left the world with some dignity. In my 44 years I have had to do this too many times. You all know I tend to have more one dog at a time I thought I would be strong, but as time drew near, I was in tears. It is the price we all pay for having unconditonal love and not being afraid of loving back.
My vet was wonderful, He told me about what a lucky girl to have such a long life despite her illness and how she really looked bad and it was the last gesture of love I could show. It was hard on him too as he treated her for both cases of glaucoma. He even had moist eyes, the vet techs who have worked with Misty, all came in and spoke with her and were also emotionally moved. Misty went very gently, no jerking, no fighting, in a second she was gone. I gave her one last kiss on the head before and one after. Thank you once again a bear hug to you all.
