today would have been Kitos 2nd birthday.
the moment that you died,
my heart split in two.
one filled with memories,
the other died with you.
I often lie awake at night,
when the world is fast asleep,
and take a walk down memory lane
with tears upon my cheeks.
remembering you is easy,
I do that every day.
but missing you is a heartache that never goes away.
I hold you tightly in my heart,
and there you will remain.
life has gone on without you,
but will never be the same.

this is still very difficult for me.I still wonder why my Kito couldn't stay longer.

Kito was a handsome Chowboy, and I know he touched your heart in that special way no other pet seems to be able to reach. Reading your rememberance reminds those of us that are lucky enough to have had that special pet, how lucky we were to know them. Bless you.

Sorry for your loss and the words are lovely. My heart is still very fragile at the moment as its only been just over a month since I lost my catbalou. I take comfort that she is not around but so close to me as she will always be in my heart and thats the same for you. :x
