Sad day

Post by Laura »

We got the xmas stuff out today. We're doing the fake tree again...ugh...but that's another story. As we were pullin the branches out and shaping them I found bits of Kody's hair stuck to several of the lower ones. I burst into tears, collected all of the lil tuffs and that was the end of xmas decorating around here. We used this tree last year too and he loved to walk around it to get to the big window it was in front of so his lil hairs collected on some of the branches. I know it's only been 4 mos. but it is still so hard and it's the first xmas in 14 years and I haven't even made it to the box with his stocking in it yet. Miss him so much.
RIP sweetie

oh laura I am so sorry. It's interesting the things that we will find that set us off. Try to think of the great times you had at Christmases past with Kody and not about him not being here for this one.

What did you usually get Kody for Christmas? How did Kody like the decorations?

Oh dear - I am so sorry - smile Laura, smile - he would not want you to cry. Wipe the tears and smile.

"Say not in grief he is no more but in thankfulness he was."

Put the Christmas tree up, and remember how he like it.

As the French would say, "C'est la Vie!"

(((hugs))) to you and yours.
Many of us understand those, "special moments".
We will never forget our chowangels,
but time will help ease the pain.
