In Memory Of My Su-Lee

Post by RedSu »

First off, I want to say how happy I am I found a place just for Chows.

It's been almost a month since the passing Of Su-lee.

I found it very heartbraking I had to put her to sleep at the age of 15years old.

Her Hind legs became paralyzed.

I had to make the choice what was best for her.

In that week her hind legs decided not to work anymore, Su wondered what was happening she would look behind to see if anyone was holding them down.

She relised, that this was not the case and adjusted for 3 days , I would carry her were she wanted to go and when she needed to go to the bathroom, her hind legs would be lifted up so she had support and what a trooper she was, she felt it was fine and went to the bathroom.

Still with her tail-a- waggin, As I only come to relise in this past week. That she HELD ON FOR ME. *tear*

I cried for 2 weeks straight which was very unhealthy.
Spoke only about the what-if's and well sure you all know.

I think this is my healing step.

Her personality was cat-like and she was very sweet.
Her eyes were always on me.

Anyhow I wrote a poem in her memory.

Love you Su.

(( I was recently told ) )

Just this side of heaven lies the Rainbow Bridge.

( To: My Su, if this is true, what I have been told, I can't even imagine YOU to be playing with other dogs? How much beuty would that be My Su.

Perhaps you always wanted to play, but from day 1 your body just was old.
I don't know what to say; You know Mumma loves you, I'm so sad that I had to let you go.
Was it the right thing My Su-Lee.
I want to feel confort,
I don't want to feel sad.
But; My Su, People are trying to reasure Me, that this honestly was best for you.

Your Sister Candice cries for you.
Please bring her confort that what We did was best for you.

Your Daddies Red and Doug miss you too.
I know they have shed tears in the loss of you.

Brother Richie, does not want to show sadness, but I know dear Su-lee, He hurts for you too.

Your Baby feels something, as his personality is different since you have been gone.

I have layed out My housecoat were you like to lie.
In hopes in the evening you are there too.

With all this Love My Su-Lee, I hope you can actualy see us.
Is it true We will see you again?
Please show us some sign to re-assure us you are fine.
Ohhhh My Su- how I missssssssssssss you too.

My heart is breaking for you (tears falling freely)

Su Lee was a beautiful girl and she knew you loved her. She will be with you always. Yes, think of all the happy times. Writing to her is good therapy so keep doing it if it helps.

You are in my thoughts.

Thank you for your kinds words.

I am trying hard to think of all her silly ways and the possitives.

I know there are so many others out there that have lost their best friends, My heart goes out to you all.

I have a cute story of My Su.

Su was never spayed nor did she ever interact *Censored Word* with dogs.

When she was approx 3 years old, We recieved a kitten who was taken away from his mum to early, well low and behold, he wanted to cuddle up to Su's warm coat, with Su stretch out baby kitty gently approuched her and nessled in.

uh Su looked like, I'm to tired right now to care "go for it".
Then baby kitty started neading Su's tummy searching around for nipples, oh kitten found some through all that hair, neading and suckling.

It must of felt sooo good too Su, cause she never even flintch and She allowed kitten to suckle.

within 2 weeks time (yes was feeding kitten a bottle and soft food)
within 2 weeks time Su produced milk for the kitten and looked at him as her own.

Su breast fed baby kitten for 2 month I had to put a stop to it, cause I think he was stealing Nutriants from her.

So life moved on and Su protected and loved him till her last days, Her baby kitten who grew up with her and is still with us, who is called baby cause that is what he was to a canine who never had her own litter, they even cleaned eachother in the early days.

Her is a picture of Su and Baby sleeping the day before Su-passed.

Baby stuck much closer in her last 3 days, he must of felt something.
The animal world is a strange thing.

dream/wasp

Post by RedSu »

This morning I recieved a Surprise.

My Hubby never has dreams or atleast does not remember them.

Well this one he did.

He said; I had a dream about Su.

I said; Whattttttttt? Tell me.

He said the dog was happy acted like Su looked like Su and everything.

He said; he does not recall where it took place, We both saw Su, we looked at eachother than said *that can't be Su*.

Then he said; I know how we can tell it's Su...

let's check to see if she has her marking under her hair.

He said; we looked and it was not there.

However we knew it was Su all healthy again and soooo happy to see us.

I was so overjoyed water filled my eyes, but only a single tear fell.

I then became selfish and wondered why Su never came to me.

He said; Hunny cause you have not let her go yet your still holding on.

I thought of those words he said, and knew he was right.

As we were finished talking about this, We left to exit the bedroom and right at the doorway of the room was a wasp just walking slowly on the carpet very docile.

We looked at this wasp puzzled how the heck did it get in, not to mention we are approuching winter.

I slipped a card under it as hun was placing it outside

Then it was like something reminded me about wasps.

Su loved catching wasps, she would grab it shake it between her lips, as it stung her, she would drop it from her tongue then pick it up again between her lips, never killing it, just having it not being able to fly anymore, she would leave it exacly the way she did with the one we saw at our bedroom doorway.

I thanked My Su.

I know this may sound weird to some of you, but I believe that was Su giving a sign.

*sigh*

I am so sorry for your loss of Su lee. I too believe in signs. I believe the dream and the wasp was her way of telling you she is fine.

I too believe in signs. Just think how she just reached out to you. Oh the pain is terrible, just to think of them is a better place is somewhat helpful, but then I want to be there too.

Bless you, and take care.

I also believe in signs. After I had to put Tucker down, we had a beautiful white butterfly that hung around our backyard all fall. We never had a butterfly before. Tucker has also come to me in dreams and he has comforted me in some and been so healthy and happy and playful in others.
