Oh NO!!! I'm so sorry Stacy.

My funny Baby Bruin foster is with his best chowlinghood friend, Tiggy, catching all the bubbles in the sky at the Happy Hunting Ground together and playing tag once again! Please PM me as to what happened (or my private email address if you still have it). This is such sad news. I will tell all his aunties of his passing.

You were the best dad for Bruin!

Bruin was acting lathargic ~10Jan2018, took him to the vet thinking it may have been doggie influenza.
They did all the routine test, and all came back negative.

They recommended that we take him off the anti-inflams for his arthritis/hip dysplasia and see if he'd return back to normal.
Inshort nurse him back to health, crockpot chicken and rice, one of his faves.
on 21Jan, went for ultrasound & xrays to see if any gastric/intestinal blockage, they notice in ultrasound the kidney had some minor discoloration.
tough to tell from one shade of dark grey to another one shade of dark grey, so they did needle biopsy.
While waiting for pathology lab, we made appointment to see doggie oncologist.
He died before getting the pathology report.
But it was confirm that he was in early stage of gastric carcinoma

I think he knew and decided not to suffer
Stacy

ps:
found out the Chow are 20x higher of developing gastric carcinoma vs any other dog.
it is thought that due to there habit or nature of being house broken at birth, that this lends itself
for them to store more toxins from their urine and feces in their stomach/intestinal lining
