End of an era for our family

Post by bellachow »

Today we said goodbye to our beloved Lady... the the last of our original crew. She managed to survive bloat but couldnt beat old age. Lady was 15 1/2, with 15 of those years spent with us.

We started out in 1995 with 1 chow chow and by the end of 1996 we had a crew of 6. Throughout the years, she stayed behind as her mate, 3 of her babies and another playmate crossed over the rainbow bridge. Even though my heart is broken from losing her, atleast now they are all together again.

Thanks to all,
I do feel like there is a huge hole in my heart right now but I know Bella & Chumley have more than enough love to patch it. We were extremely lucky to have had her for so long (we all know that chows have such short life spans) and blessed to have caught the bloat early so that we were granted an extra 6 months with her.

My heart shares in your pain. Here's a hug across the miles {\o/} I'll send a prayer up that Kimba and Lady can share some zoomies together over the Bridge. :)
