I am so very sorry. There are just some chows on this forum that I feel that I knew personally from all of the stories and how they were brought to life on this forum...Milly and Mabel are two of those Chows. My heart breaks for you, your family and Miss Mabel. There are no words...

Rhiannon, thank you so much for posting this. Milly meant so much to so many of us. Judy's posts of Milly and Mable are some of my fondest memories of this forum. I can't crying as I type this. My deepest condolences to you, Judy, Fred & Mabel.

I hope you are able to find a chow pup before you head back. I bet that will help Mabel tremendously too.

Sending you all great big hugs

i am so sorry to hear about your loss it must have come as such a shock. chow puppys can be hard to find in the uk. theres a link here for you for the uk chow chow society website if this is any help to you it has a link on it on the right hand side so you could email them and they might be able to give you a list of breeders or puppys that are available. http://www.thechowchowclub.co.uk/club/contact.htm

Judy, Fred, Mabel and family,

Words are so useless in times like these, but our hearts are, and always will be, with you all.
Benny still remembers dancing with Milly at that great Chowyears Eve Party a few years ago. He is looking forward to seeing her again at the Rainbow Bridge. He says to save him a dance.

Dear Judy, Fred, Mabel and Rhiannon...

I just can't tell you how sad this makes me. Millie and Mabel are such a big part of our lives. They are all of our little "baggages". Millie's passing is just something I wasn't expecting. Like Cayenne's passing not too long ago, it's like a huge blow to my heart. As much as she will be missed, Millie is with Koda, Zhuyo, Cayenne, and all of the other chows who have gone on before us and running free at the Rainbow Bridge. I know that knowing this doesn't take the grief away, nothing that any of us could say to you lessens the grief for you. But remember in those quiet times, watch and listen... Millie will let you know that she's still with you. And know that Koda, Zhuyo and Cayenne were there to meet Millie and are now having their own special reunion party now. RIP in peace sweet Millie. Special love to you Mabel.

Rhiannon, thank you for letting everyone know. Give your mom, dad, and Mabel a big hug from Tai and I, and good luck in finding a new little chowling for them and for Mabel. Thank you for doing this for them.

Love, hugs and purple kisses,
Nancy and Tai

Oh my dear Lord. I'm sitting here beside myself. I don't know what to say. I'm in tears and my heart and prayrs go out to all of you. Steel too remembers the New Years party, that was the last time the Areoplane flew. :-( Milly will be missed.

Hugs to all.

Oh my, I am so very sorry to hear this news.
It's never easy when we lose one of our own.
Milly and Mabel are such icons around here,
setting a wonderful example of how lady chows should behave.
For Judy and Fred, my heart and prayers go out to you.

Thank you so much everybody. It is such a comfort to be able to tell people who you know, understands exactly how we feel.

It is so lonely at home now without Milly. :(

Mabel is coping very well I think - she is sad but we have told her what has happened but we feel she already knew. We took her for her first walk today on her own and it surely was strange but something we have to get used to.

Isabelle gave her a cuddle earlier on today and she snugged in and had a little snooze.
Image
I think having Isabelle, Bethan, Anthony and Rhiannon up for Fred's birthday, also little Bertie Bear, Rhiannon's little border terrier has helped her. He has been ever so sweet with her and they had a little play in the garden and he has his evening meal with her. I hope she will be alright when they all go home on Tuesday.

Thank you all for your messages, they mean so much. :)
