Pekoe's not well/passes

I hope Jeff doesn't mind that I'm posting this about Pekoe, but since he and Pekoe were such a big part of this site for so long I thought most people would want to know. Pekoe took a turn for the worse over the weekend and went to the vet on Monday. Her bloodwork came back with pretty bad news...possible cancer. Also she has arthritis in her spine and hasn't been able to walk for a couple days. The doc told Jeff that knowing Pekoe's history he thought she might bounce back so he wanted to see how she does over the weekend. Currently, she's resting comfortably with meds and continues her watch at the screen door.

Please keep Pekoe, Jeff and the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Pekoe she is such a special girl. I have read parts of her story and she is such a fighter I hope she can pull through this. I know vets are not her favourite people. Thoughts and prayers for Pekoe and Jeff at this hard time

I emailed Jeff and he says she isn't doing well. Lots of masses, and her organs are failing. Although Jeff and I never saw eye to eye, I do understand his love for Pekoe and I feel his pain. I hope she goes quietly in her sleep

I was just on the other board and saw his post. She just passed. It was peacefully and in her own home just as Jeff wanted it to be.
