Happy gotcha day Maxwell

Today is the official gotcha day for Maxwell. In a few short hours a year ago I saw Maxwell for the first time. I remember how nervious I was because of all the chow stories, who would have thought that all those fears would have melted the moment I saw him and in 3 minutues he went from Maxwell the foster to Maxwell has finally found his forever home. I am still shocked that he was turned in twice to the same shelter by the same people. Their reasons not enough time for him. Their loss was my huge gain. I was lying in bed lastnight scratching tummies ( his and Aldo's not mine ) thinking how lucky I was to have him and how he will never be in a kennel again. We went for our morning walkies but went and extra 3 blocks and soon I will make some eggs for him and the rest of the crew. We are gonna run to petco to look for a special treat for him, he doesn't like toys and Aldo always hoards them anyway. Thank you Maxwell for helping me heal from the pain of the loss of Otono and here is to another 10 years of tummy scratches and the occasional purple kiss

Maxwell sends his thanks for the good wishes. He went to petco and we found the soild gold jerky treats , we got lamb and beef. We went for another long walk and met Allie his girl friend and they played a bit, rolled around in the snow for about an hour, had a nice dinner, a quick brush and tummy scratches. Now he is sleeping after a long day of adventures.

Belated gotcha day Maxwell. Better late than never . Dogdad enjoy the years with Maxwell. 10 years go by quickly, too quckly.
