AW!!!!! Thank you soooooooo much everyone. This is the bestest. My daddy is at work, but mommy is going to take me for a long walk and then we are all home, I will have a special meal and presents! I got lots of birthday hugs and kisses already and when mommy saw this sweet, sweet post she called me over and I came right away and I came and smiled at all my birthday wishes. Hugs to you all,

I can't believe it's been a year since we got Special. I cna't even begin to explain how much we love him. He's our Baby Dark. I still remember how my friend called and said that she had found THE cutest dog in the world and after contacting a bunch of places,no one had come forward to claim him. I remember thinking, "okay, he's so cute, but he can't be that cute!"
She asked us if we wanted him and told us to think about it for about a week and then drive to her house and meet him. She thought we'd better think about it without knowing what he looks like because if we saw him, we'd never be able to say no. All week we thought about it, but somehow in our hearts he was already ours. A day before we were suppossed to go meet him, they forcasted a huge snow storm for the next day. Hubby had to be at work in a few hours, but I wanted so badly to meet this "cutest dog in the world." To my joy, my friend called me and asked if we wanted to stop by that morning, so we got in the car and headed to meet him a day early. We were so excited and nervous (what if he didn't like us??) .
When we got there after what seemed like SUCH a long time, even though it was only an hour drive, we were buzzed in and stood in the hallway. I remember it was dark (already cloudy and because of the approaching storm)and out ran her two dogs and jumped on us and greeted us and while we were busy trying to walk past those lovebugs, out trots... THE CUTEST DOG IN THE WORLD!! He stood there about a foot away and looked up at us, barked a few times and then waited for us all to go in the living room together. My eyes welled up as soon as I saw him, he stoled my heart for sure!
A few hours later we were on our way home, the three of us together. And that day is the day we picked to be his birthday.
We love you so, so much Special Dark, happy birthday!!
