Ladies Day at the Beach

Post by kingalls »

A few of the Northern Cal Chow moms got together this past Sunday in Pacifica to enjoy lunch and a walk on the beach with each other.
It was a beautiful day. A little bit of overcast but clearing into a perfect day for all of us to enjoy.
Lou and Pooh Bear, Cindy and Kodi, Chika and Leo, Karen and Shiloh enjoyed many, many treats!
Our Chowdren enjoyed Baa-Baas, Buckeroo Beef, Nutro Desserts just to name a few! There were birthday gifts for all the Chowdren in
honor of our beloved Zhuyo who just celebrated his 15th at the Bridge. Below are a few pictures that Auntie Chika took yesterday.

May I have your attention, Ladies?

Proper and politely waiting their turn

We all had such a wonderful, wonderful time. As the sun began to set over the ocean, we all took a stroll down
to the water's edge. All of our Chowdren had birthday balloons tied to their collars....then we let them loose and sent
them up to our friend - Happy Birthday Zhuyo!

How beautiful and how lovely they all look and you big ladies too.
What a lovely way to celebrate what would have been Zhuyo's 15th Birthday. :)

Wonderful, thank you for sharing - I wish we could have been there. :x :x

We certainly had a brilliant time at the beach. I'm sure Sweet Zhuyo was watching over us for the good weather we had. Zhuyo also reminded us of his presence by accepting Miss PB's balloon first. The red balloon on Miss PB just untied itself and flew up into the sky on its own accord.

Happy Happy Birthday Sweet Zhuyo. We are so lucky to have known you.

Today, Miss Big Piggy Baby Leonora is paying back for her too great a epicurean indulgence from yesterday....

I've sent some of you invites for snapfish album for not so many pictures I took. If anyone is interested, please PM me with your e-mail address & I'll send it to you.

Love, LEO's mum

Yes, a little early, but it does take a while to get things sent over to the Pond!

Lily here: Hey Ladies! Sounds like you had a great day at the beach! Aren't the Baa Baa Bites the best? LEO, tell mummy it's HER job to watch what you eat! Tell her, this too shall pass...hehe. In one photo I saw Miss PB was watching the camera and smiling while everyone else was begging...always the consummate professional. The color of your sand is a pretty color, too. We only have the tan kind. Did (does) anyone get their feet wet?

Lily,
Mom took me out to the water but it scared me when the water kept swooshing up! I ran from it at first but it caught me anyway...it was cold and felt funny - not bad though. I tried to go back after it when it tried to get away but then mom would yell Run Shiloh when it came back at us - I think mom didn't want to get her paws wet!
...don't say anything - but mom sure had alot of those chocolate treats

Oh Hi! It's me, Pooh Bear!

Lily, :-oo :-oo :-oo :-oo ! Thank you for noticing! and Ciaobella, we are beautiful... thank you for saying so.

I had the best of best times at the beach with the Ladies. Leo's mum is a great cook. She made us homemade chicken strips. It was delicious. And then Kodi's mom brought chicken chips... just my favorite. And then Shiloh's mom brought the Baa-Baas, but Mommy forget to let me taste, however, Shiloh's mom also brought sandwiches and Mommy let me taste her italian ham sandwich and it was as the italian chows would say, "molto biene"!!!

I wanted to clarify a little something because I think it is only polite to do so. Ladies Day at the Beach was for us Ladies... it was a day to celebrate Leonora's 1st birthday and Kodi's Gotcha Day and Milly and Mabel's Mummy's birthday... not just a day for my big brother, Zhuyo... well mainly because he was a boy chow and not a lady chow so Ladies Day at the Beach just wouldn't work - if you get my drift. Shiloh and I got to talking and we made a gal-pal pack to not eat our Nutro carrot cake till we got home. Shiloh's my gal-pal! You see, if we had boys there then I don't think that Shiloh and I would have had the moment to chit-chat and make a gal-pal pack because we would have been too busy watching over our brothers!

Well, okay. I hope all of you can get your moms and dads to get together. It really is a blast to spend the day with everyone and be waited paw and paw by our Mommy's!

Hugs and kisses,
:x Miss Pooh Bear

At first I was thinking, Ladies day is discrimination, what if I were still living in the Bay area and wanted to take Pekoe to Ladies day, then I remembered it is San Francisco even if I were there with Pekoe you could still say it was ladies day, In SF no one would think anything about it.

Oh wow!! What a great day you all must have had. I like the picture where Miss PB is smiling at the camera too, I just wnat to hug her! And see the back of Shiloh's head in that pic?? I recognize that pose oh so well...my mommy enjoys seeing my little dark head like that when I'm oh so super anxious to get a yummy treat, usually my front contains a LOT of drool though, but I am sure you lovely ladies did not drool... I see no evidence on your manes! :D How do you maintain your composure like that? :D

The balloons sounded so wonderful, I'm sure Zhuyo was smiling down on all of you. And what a great celebration of Kodi's gotcha day (Kodi, you look stunning as usual) and Leo's b-day (Leo my goodness, your gorgeous, you are soooooooo grown up!) and happy, happy birthday to Milly and Mabel's mom too!

Lots of purple kisses to all you lovely ladies,
Special Dark

Shiloh, when you got home, did you get a full body sniff down from Nakohe? If Pip somehow manages to go away with mum while I stay home, I must do a full smell assessment of Pip on her return. I have even given her little nips when she gets home to tell her never leave me alone again!

I know which photo you thought I meant, Cait. But this one is the one I meant. It was one of Chika's. I also notice Miss Shiloh is also watching the camera!

Oh, how wonderful a birthday cake for me!!

And a chocolate one too!? Do you know, I cannot remember when I last had a birthday cake - I will make one for my birthday at the end of the month and invite the family for afternoon tea.
I bet Milly and Mabel will enjoy a little bit.
I hope you all enjoyed that one over there.

Ms. Lily,
Mr. N was jumping on me, sniffing me  - he was happy to see me and kept bugging me to tell him about my adventures...but I was so tired. Mom dug into my treat bag and gave both of us some treats. Auntie Chika made very tasty chicken strips - yum! Mom put out my nice new blanket that has my name on it (thank you, Auntie Lou!) and I crashed for the night.
