In loving memory Coco Aug. 29, 2005 to Aug. 22, 2006

Post by simbasmom »

It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that Coco passed away suddenly. We didn't know that he was sick but he went to sleep one night and never woke up again. He has gone to join our Simba to wait for us at the rainbow bridge.

Missing my daily dose of purple kisses

Oh my God, Carol! I thought he was such a nice, handsome boy. So young! You and Andrew must be numb. I will always remember his bunny photos, and how wonderful he was. I am so very sorry.

Carol, I am so sorry.

I saw you were on the board sometimes, but you hadn't posted in a while that I'd noticed. Now I understand why.

Carol, I'm assuming you're in your new location now.

Did Coco get to make the move with you before he passed to the Brdige?

Sigh~ poor Carol and Coco. I feel your pain I really do. It's still all too fresh for me too. There really are no words but the one thing that came to mind was it seems like he went peacefully. My first chow just died in her sleep and my recent loss Moses suffered terribly and although it's so hard to lose a precious pet there is something calming about knowing it was their time when they just go on their own. The decision to put to sleep is such a haunting one for me. I'm so...sorry for you Carol. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy your memories and you shall meet again at the bridge.

Coco never got a chance to put his feet in the ocean, he passed away the night before we were supposed to leave. I have sat at the computer so many times trying to find the words to tell you, I still cannot beleive that he is gone from us. I miss the purple kisses he used to give me to wake me up every morning and the afternoon zoomies from the back door through the kitchen and onto the couch. I miss the way he would throw his stuffed dinasour up in the air and then pounce on it to make it roar.

Hi, SimbasMom. I see you're online.

We're thinking about you during this rough time. There's no words we can say that will help Coco's passing, but you're in our thoughts.

Thank you every one for all your well wishes and kind thoughts.. I come to the board whenever I am especially missing Coco, since you guys have been with us since the days leading up to me bringing him home. Somedays it makes me feel better but other days it just makes me miss him even more. It is kind of sad that here in my new house there is nothing to remind me of my little chow boy.. Its funny I never thought that I would miss the fur balls all over everything no matter how many times I swept or vacuumed. I miss cleaning up all the water he used to spill all over the kitchen floor with his sloppy drinking. And the sopping wet chin in the lap when he used to come visit with me while I was working on my computer. I miss the big goofy grin he used to give me whenever I would rub his tummy while he was squirming around on his back with his feet up in the air.. sorry about the ramblings but I just plain miss everything about him..

CoCo was a sweet wonderful boy. Feel free to write whatever comes to mind about him. I don't see it as rambling. I always thought Lily and CoCo would've looked just gorgous side by side, with such similar color and conformation. Though, I recall CoCo was a good sized boy, and Lily is a mite.

How do you like your new location? Are you all the way to the pacific? I saw the ocean comment, and figured you are in BC.

Ramble on.

I still ramble about my girl that went to the Bridge over a year ago. Still turn around and think she will be there, or call my other chowboy by her name.

Hi Andrew,

It's very nice to hear from you. I hope you and your mom are well. Have you viewed the ChowFest section? It was Coco and his two Canadian friends, Tiger and Odessa, who inspired many of us to hold a ChowFest and the admin here made a special section just for the gatherings. The Northern California chows will be celebrating their 5th ChowFest in September. It is a wonderful legacy your Coco left us!

Please keep in touch. I hope you will be able to adopt another chow.

Regards,
-Lou (Zhuyo, Miss Pooh Bear and Tigger's mom)
