Good Home Wanted for Midwest Chow Chow

Post by arnold_5252 »

Hello, my name is Kyle Arnold and I am the owner of a beautiful pure bred chow named Schumi (named after F1 legend Michael Schumacher). I am currently trying to seek a chow rescue program close to me as I am going to have to give him up due to family reasons. I don't want to take him to a regular animal shelter and I have yet to find a no-kill shelter who can accept him due to space.

Schumi is a 3 year old pure bred blondish red chow. He is neutered. He is still kind of a puppyish dog. He is a little timid towards new people but loves to run all over in my large backyard. He gets a little jumpy when he knows someone and gets excited, but other than that he's great with kids. He's been around my daughter since she was born, but we haven't let him interact with her too much untill she was about 9 months. He hasn't really interacted with any other dogs since he was 1. He's never had any medical problems. He has all of his shot records up to date. I'd like to find a home for him as soon as possible. We live in St. Joseph, MO which is about 30 minutes north of Kansas City and an hour or less south of the Iowa border.

I really hope to find a good family for him. If anyone has any questions about adopting him or know of a good rescue center to take him to, you can email me or give me a call at (816) 261-5959 (cell).

If you still have the chow, please let me know. Im very interesten. I had one for 15yrs. he recently passed away. I have no kids at home except my 20 yr old granddaughter and my husband. haha I live in Ft Scott Ks. and have been looking to adopt a chow but they have all been to far for me to go. My chow was my shadow. He went everywhere with me, even to Graceland. He was with me when I had a stroke. When I could walk a little he seemed to know when I was going to take a falling spell and wouldnt let me move, if I did, he was always there to help me use him to get up. I have fenced yard with dog door. We go on the weekends to parks and creeks and he would be with us. Please let me know.727 686 0338 is my number. We recently moved from Fl.I have vet refferences too. My name is Sherry
