A glimmer of hope...
This morning Holden was chasing Hannah around the backyard and when she would stop to rest, he would egg her on to keep going. Putting his butt up in the air, pouncing, and grunting at her.
And in the house, she was carrying around his FAVORITE toy (rabbit) and he kept eyeing her. I thought "oh no here we go." But all he did was go over and grab the other end and start pulling it. She eventually gave it to him and then he was happy. He didn't want to play with it, just didn't want her to play with it but no fighting!
I hope that this is a sign of what may be.
And he is so much more noticeably less aggressive towards her when she walks by. Still gets growly at her, but it's not every single time like it was Saturday.

So good to hear. Sounds like a sign of good things to come.

I'm not throwing a party yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed
We went for a few walks together but then I remembered that Hannah only has her first puppy shot so walks are now on hold. We all went bye-bye to the vet yesterday, and I made baked chicken the other night and fed them a piece together. Holden sat right next to her and was fine since there was food involved. I'm going to make another piece for them today. I'm trying to get Holden to associate her with good things. I think we'll also go for another car ride today. I'm also making sure that Holden has some alone time outside since he enjoys being out there so much. Sometimes Hannah gets alone time outside, too, so that Holden can have it in the house. Otherwise, I've been letting him stay in our bedroom with a baby gate to block Hannah from getting in there with him.

Holden
OOHH that's great. My vet told me that animals usually don't accept other pets moving in with them. Then they will realize that the new pet is really staying and their attitude mostly changes to being friendly ...because the atmosphere in the house becomes stable again and the "older" pet relaxes so hopefully they will become best buddies! YAY!

YAY! It's lovely watching them play
I walked Alf as my vet says that they have natural immunity. I've added her link so you can read for yourself about immunisation
