If she has entropian there is good reason for the surgery. She can go blind if it goes too long. Just an FYI.

Simon's eyes only water in the summer... the first time I saw it I thought it was entropian... NOPE! He gets seasonal allergies, just like mommy. Guess he really is my boy....

I would say, you have a PB chow. Like I stated in my previous post, many times, when a Chow is a found as a stray, they start looking pretty raggety. No, I would say as Vicki said, chow x chow!

Did your Vet say anything about Entropian??? It is a commone disorder in Chows. It is were there eyelashes turn into their eyeballs and rub...causing their eyes to water, can cause eye damage and blindness. May get your Vet to check and make sure.......
Allergies are also common...can sometimes be corrected with Diet........
I just had Entropian Surgery done on my puppy Kyra, if you look at the Gray one in my signature pic you can see her BEFORE pics of her eyes.......
Just thought I would mention it, as it is very uncomfortable for the Chow, and could cause blindness, I had never heard of it until I got my first Chow and joined this site

Actually he brought it up as something to look out for on our first visit, but it wasn't Entropian. We have a great vet (Dr. Wolf, LOL!!!!) and we see him every six months. Geeze, that's as often as we go to the dentist!!!

Meh, small price to pay for a happy healthy Shelly!

Thats good as long as Dr. Wolf

checked her for it. Probably allergies......they tend to be allergic to wheat and corn gluten so maybe check his food for those.
Yes, mine are at the Vet way more than I go to either, the Dentist or my Primary for that matter......they are indeed like one of our children aren't they???

My girl, Miss Pooh Bear, has seasonal allergies. I stopped giving her allergy pills a while back and just wipe her eyes. It clears up after a while.

Yes. Three weeks ago! Thank you... the pictures are nice, but being there with all the chows was spectacular!
