Koda's 2nd Trip To The Vet
Even tho it was Christmas Eve day, our vet's office was opened and it was time for Koda's second series of puppy shots and check up. He's doing wonderfully. When he was at the vet's 3 weeks ago he was 10 weeks old and weighed 16 pounds, 14 ounces. Today at 13 weeks old he weighed in at 22 pounds, 3 ounces. Our vet just shook his head and said he is going to be one big boy. LOL He said Koda looked real good, again discussed the importance of socializing him and also discussed his eyes again. He said he honestly does not think Koda will need entropian surgery because his lids are just barely folded in now and he thinks as Koda's head grows and fills out, his eye lids will be fine without the surgery. He told me again Koda was one of the best looking chows he has ever seen. One more booster shot and his rabies shot in 3 weeks and then Koda is done until February when he has to go in and get neutered. The vet even said his belly button hernia is alot better than it was 3 weeks ago and may heal on it's own without having to fix it when Koda goes in to get neutered. So all in all, we had a good trip and Koda for the most part was a good boy.
