Get out the tissues.

This is what a friend of mine wrote about a lucky chow girl, and it mad me cry. Maybe it won't make people cry if they don't know Frannie. I have a big soft spot in my heart for the older pups like her.

I just had to share it. Some people don't think dogs feel, but we know differently here.

(its a happy ended so don't worry - you won't come away feeling depressed)

The mixes get to me the most.

Oh this is Frannie's before and after picture

8/9 years old, matted, dumped at the shelter
Labelled as a "senior"

Frannie on her relay. A kind man named Eric picked her up along with three other dogs. He adopted two and the third dog was going to her foster home too like Frannie. He is a good friend of Laura who wrote the blog. Frannie made it from GA to Colorado.

Her new mom was a rescue who first offered to foster Frannie, and then said that she thinks that she will be Frannie's forever home (she said that before meeting Frannie)

Beautiful story - no tears from me either David - just a ruddy big lump in my throat! :)
I am economical with my tears but that story - does Frannie's new Mum know about this site?

Yep, made me cry. I wasn't quite teary enough, so I read about her father passing, too. My kid thought I was losing it. I have an especially soft spot for Pip's doppelgangers. I wish I could save them all!
