Watch this one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5bwa0Yg ... ed&search=

Now just think about him pooping in your shoes. Or peeing on the bed. Or chewing up your work clothes. Or chewing up your favorite chair. Or licking your face. Or waking you to play with him.. Oops. Stop. Ignore the last two.

Thats it i am commited to making this a post for all who want another fluffy butt, but can't!
that video reminds me of hemi when he was a puppy!
i asked the dh, if after we got a bigger house if we could get one and ovecourse he as stubburn as ever!
so, I guess i'll just have to spring it on him one look at a fluffy, sweet, pup, and a purple kiss and its over! ,
well, i guess that would be a little bad??.......... right????

I say just bring a puppy home and say, "SUPRISE." He won't be able to help himself. No matter what he says now.

Lol, that trick always works. It even worked with my mom when I used to bring all kinds of stray kittens home.

I discovered doy doy some time ago. If you watch the kennel videos, you will see him with his puppy bro and sis. The breeder is located near Ottawa, Canada. I watched all 20 of doydoy's videos, am I nuts or just gettin' old?

Here's a big chow and a baby chow, it's short but so sweet, i want one too.

Did you guys see, there are even videos of Rescue Chows looking for a new home on youtube. Oh how I miss my old Bearski (nickname of our former chow). My DH is actually on my side, but thanks to his job we will have to wait at least another year. Thanks to the videos it's become just a little bit more unbearable. Thank you very much. :P

Ladies, I have the perfect cure for a stubborn DH!
When my first husband refused to fence in the back yard and allow the kids and me to have a family pet....I showed him!!!
He left for the weekend, when he returned home, I had a new privacy fence built and the kids and I brought home our first pet, a beautiful chow girl, Foxy!
How did I do this.........CREDIT CARD!
His reaction? He was furious, but I told him, "it's ok to be angry, that's a normal response when one's manhood feels threatened. Don't worry, you'll get over it".

**But, like I said, he was my first husband, so this may not be such good advice!

Add me to the list of people who want one! I want one every time I look in the chow photo section or see the photo Layla has posted of the chowling sleeping in the car... soooooo cute ?!

Unfortunately I travel all over Europe for work and my fiance is also very busy at work, so it would be cruel to a chow right now. I also have a back yard that opens into country fields without a separating fence (there's a creek), so I can just imagine the backward chow glance of "see ya mom" and me chasing a chow across acres of farmland to get it back... sigh....

Don't fight it. Go with your heart, If you can afford it and have the room. You make time for what you want, even if it means you get up at 4:00am to give your furkids quality time before you run off to work Incidentally, I don't have a life of travel anymore, did that when I was young, now I am a homebody who doesn't mind at all.

Bama, your first husband was your guinea pig. I dumped mine, one of the irritating things about him, he did not like me having pets. Too bad. I am also a homebody, I did all my travels when I was young, before my son came along. I was 25 when he was born. I see my old friends, now retired, travel. They feel sorry for me. I figure I had more fun when I was young. They were busy having babies, I had better things to do.

I may go on a cruise, a lot of retirees do that. It's not my cuppa tea, but heck, sitting in the cold up here ain't no fun either. Now wouldn't it be nice if I could bring my chow kid with me?

maybe it'll work its self out, or, i could just speed it along a little bit.

People are so paranoid these days. Dogs were allowed on cruiseships in the old days. Now ppl worry about allergies, asthma, getting bitten by a dog. Lawsuits. I hate to say it, but I think my grandparents had a lot less to worry about.
