I just wanted to introduce myself. I came across this website over the weekend. We have two Chows (Maximus, a 6 year old blue male, and Ava, a 1 year old red Chow mix.) I was so thrilled to come across a place filled with people who love Chow Chows! I look forward to chatting with you!

Mrs Crazy4Chows it is, lol.
This is my first time trying to post pictures, so please let me know if these come through. The first picture is of Maximus, our 6 year old Chow. The second pic. is of Ava, our 13 month old Chow/Shiba Inu mix. We adopted her when she was 5 months old. She and Maximus became the best of friends right off the bat!

Isn't he hadsome? I have never seen a chow with that coloring. Even though I have a blue as well, he is darker than that. Maximus looks so soft too... like he still has puppy fur. He looks like "blue cotton"..

Maximus is about 65lbs. He's a little tall for a Chow, but not quite as round as some of the others I've seen. I've been looking through the pictures everyone has posted and there are so many color combinations that I had never seen before.

He is a big chow & Chris said it perfect, he looks like a blue cotton ball. My Irish is now 67 lbs. I believe Chris had a chow that was even larger.
Their coloring is all unique. Gorman (the chow on the left) is supposed to be a blue. He was a lot bluer (bad english) when he was younger. All teh feathering on his bum & his entire tail are the only signs of blue left on him. Although when he's next to the other 2 which are black you can see he's a tad different color. I had never seen cream chows w/ red ears until I became a member on this site. They are so gorgeous.
