Breeder reviews/recommendations

Post by katelee »

Hi all,
question for those in the United States

I'm looking to buy a Chow Chow! Help!
I definitely want a Chow with a long snout/open face. So far, I've found these breeders:

Beth's Chow Chows, Mississippi - https://www.pets4you.com/pages/beths/?f ... Bwrr_WFAAQ

Heavenly Chows, Missouri - http://www.heavenlychows.com/aboutus.html

DM Farm Chows, Ohio - (they're pretty easy to find, so I won't include URL)

My Fuzzy Wiggle Butts, Illinois - https://my-fuzzy-wiggle-butts-chow-chow ... ite/?hl=en

Stevens' Chows, Mississippi - https://www.facebook.com/StevensChowChows

Camelot Chows, Louisiana - https://www.camelotchowchows.com/

Has anyone heard of/dealt with these breeders in the past????? What are your experiences?????????? Do you have any recommendations for other breeders in the United States???

I specifically want to know if your Chow was healthy (relatively) till the end of its life (or so far if he/she is still with you!), and if your breeders did health testing. (I've tried searching the OFA website for them, but it's difficult to search without knowing precise names sometimes. So far I haven't found much on any of these breeders, aside from Heavenly Chows who tested 2 of their dogs (good results) and DM that tested one of their dogs (bad results).

I've also heard some so-so things about DM already... so I don't know if I will consider that one anyway....

Please share your experiences!!!!

So basically
I’m also looking for a chow too
And I’ve done some reaserch here and found that D and M farms aren’t the best option as their puppies have many health issues

I recommend the fuzzy wiggle butts one and also
Rhenegade Chows
http://www.rhenegade-chows.com/

Hope this help :)

Any reviews for Fuzzy Wiggle Butts? I spoke to the breeder and she seems very genuine and caring about her dogs..

Does anyone have any experience with Fuzzy Wiggle Butts breeder?

I know this is a bit late, but I made an account just to respond to this post.

We got our chow from Wanda at fuzzy wiggle butts in Illinois back in February. He is an amazing dog, and Wanda is an awesome lady. She is a very genuine person that absolutely cares about her dogs and pups. Our puppy is not AKC certified, but that’s not a big deal to us because we have no intention of showing him. I will say, Wanda answered all of my questions and continued to check up on our little guy for weeks after we brought him home.

I cannot say enough good things about Fuzzy Wiggle Butts. Our puppy is gorgeous, was already very well socialized when we brought him home, and has a wonderful temperament. If (when?) we want to get our guy a little brother/sister, I would not hesitate to reach out to FWB.
