Please help me

Hello all, I have a dog we (the vet and me) think is a lab chow mix. He's 11 months old and neutered. He has bit three kids. Today being the third. For no reason. I am taking him to the animal shelter this week bc there is nothing else I can do. I can't afford $1000 for a trainer or medicine to see if he can down. I just really need help. Is this a normal chow thing?? Why would he do this
