Chow tounge problem

Post by Maklester014 »

Hello guys, Im a first time owner of chow. I chose chow instead of other breeds because he is cute and his characteristics match me. I bought my chow to a breeder, I saw alr her Dam and Sire when on stud session and i reserved her. Until 2 months. My problem is she is now 2 months and 1 week old but his tounge only spotted, she have under his tounge, on the middle of her tounge and on the tip. I know she is pure but her tounge confuse me i dnt have picture of her tounge because she is so fancy lol. My question is, is it possible for her to become solid because i read on articles and facts that chow puppies tounge become solid 4-8 weeks. But mine almost 9 still not solid. Btw my chow color is cream. Please give me your opinions

the tongue should not be pink.
could vary in color from light blue-ish to dark purple or all black.
may slightly marbled...

unfortunately breeding an animal is not like mixing cake batter where you're gonna get a nice homogenous mix nor being the perfect specimen every time.
Beside, having them all looking the same would be kinda boring.

are you planning to use for brooding stock? if not, I'd roll the dice, and be happy.
