Hello everyone, so back in august me and my girlfriend decided to adopt a chow chow. I've always had chow chows growing up but this is my gf first dog. Khloe our puppy who is 9 months old has become non-stop barking. I cant sit and watch TV or study for class without getting a mouth full from her. We've tried going for longer walks to waste some of her energy.

Ive tried to reassure my gf that this is just a phase and that soon she will be a calmer dog. Can any one tell me what they did through this phase or tricks to try?

I'd suggest teaching her to learn to be alone even when you are around the house. Pet toys usually help. Get her a few toys to keep her busy. Have you crate trained? That could also be a solution because it will learn that it can chill out alone.
