How much are you paying for insurance?

Postby Sc123 » Mon Nov 07, 2016 12:31 pm

Hi,
I'm not sure if this has been asked yet, if so redirect me :) ,
I'm wondering what people are paying for their pet insurance per one chow and who with? I'm assuming most are on lifetime covers?!, and do your insurance cover teeth?
(Im in the uk)
I'm not sure whether Im best off looking for insurance online or with a local vet?

We have 3 chows and have insurance on all 3 of them. To me it is well worth it. We have had insurance from 2 different companies. First one was VPI Pet insurance. Depending on the coverage you pick it ran between $30 to $55 per month per dog. We now have Pet Plan insurance. Again depending on what coverage you pick is the range of cost. It is costing $38.00 per month per chow. As far as covering dental depends on the company and the coverage you choose. I hope this helps.

In Hong Kong with Manulife a bit over US$600/year though there is a cheaper plan at around US$360. Not many choices for pet insurance here and the price goes up after 9 years of age. I think no dog/cat insurance beyond 15 years of age.
