Adopting a new Chow
I have a male Chow, who just turned 1 at the beginning of September. Since we got him at 8 weeks, he's been in constant classes ranging from socialization to obedience and reactive dog training.
I recently met someone who is looking to rehome her male Chow Chow, who is 1.5 years old--I'll refer to him as T. He has never been to any type of puppy class and seems somewhat aggressive. When the Chows met, they sniffed each other for a while, T growled at my dog, and then they ignored each other for the rest of the meeting. T also lunged at a runner passing by.
I've never had 2 dogs before and have a lot of questions about whether or not we can adopt T and give him a better life. Would my dog pick up on any of T's bad habits? Any advice?
