Eye tacking our first time

Hi Everyone,
I got my little girl Sparkle on May 4th and she just had her eyes tacked last week at the ophthalmologist. How long do the staples stay in, and do they normally repeat the procedure? We have another appointment this coming Wednesday and I wanted to know what to expect! Thanks again
