How old is our import, please help.

Hi guys, after our extensive research about the breed its self and the import process/requirements. We decided to take our beautiful cream chow home (Pryia). Her passport tied in with her Micro chip and all her vaccinations tied in too. After we took her home (instantly fell in love too) the next we took her to our vets who gave her the once over which was all going well until she looked in her mouth and said to us that she thinks she's around 12weeks not 5months like her passport states. After a few days she has now been taken from us and put into quarantine for 3 weeks as they suspect she hasn't had the required jabs to enter the uk. She weights 5.2kg and looks like this. Please excuse the picture as pryia would be very picky on when she let us take one. How old do you guys think she might be? And will she be ok within herself coming home after the 3weeks. We just want our girl home safe and well.

Well she doesn't look anywhere near 5 mos. In this pic she doesn't even look 12 weeks to me. She is adorable though! I hate that she is in quarantine! Are you allowed to visit and spend time with her? These are very important bonding/socializing weeks.

She looks young to me. i would say 10-12 weeks but im not expert. My girl was 5.7KG at 10.5 weeks old. Where in the UK are you , She is gorgeous . Soon as you get her back i would do lots and lots of socialising , Ian Dunbar ( respected dog behaviorist ) said one day invite 8 men over then next 8 women , and make sure she gets a chance to meet other dogs etc .

Thanks guys, the vet confirmed she's 12-13week by her teeth. So just counting down the days. Fortunately the owner of the kennel breeds ahkitas and they have similar characteristics so she's making sure she's getting plenty (as much as you can in a kennel) of attention and she has been put in with her litter sister. The staff said she's coping well and is very friendly and forthcoming which is a good sign. We're down in the south west but she's about 3 hours drive away.

Yup she looks about 3 months old. I hope you get her back as soon as possible as you must be so worried. The good news is she is getting some doggie socialization at the kennels. Just socialize her with as many people you can when she gets out. Ypur baby is adorable BTW.
