changing forehead part of maturing??

Buddy2 is now almost 2 1/2 and I've noticed in the last 2 - 3 months that his forehead has really changed. Where the hair used to stand up straight from just behind his eyes, making him look to have a really big forehead, there is now a flatness from over his eyes to just in front of his ears where the hair now starts to be full and upright. His forehead is fine, no bald patches or anything. He appears to be in perfect health. Some day, when time allows, I'd love to figure out how to post pics of my handsome boy. In the meantime, does this sound at all typical or meaningful?
Thanks!

That is true. My chestnut as a puppy had a full on widow' speak with shaggy mane of hair all around. When she hit eight months it started receding and is now smooth on that area with only shorter hairs standing up.
