The new addition to the family....

Stella is an 8 week old black shar pei/chow chow mix that was dumped in a rural part of our town. She was rescued, and as of this weekend, officially joined the family. She has a big sister, Minnie, a 2 year old cream chow chow. She is already playing chase and imitating Minnie's every move--hopefully, I can get ahead of the few bad habits (like dirty laundry being dragged all over the house) that she might pick up!

If anyone has any advice on shar peis, I'd be happy to hear it. I've researched the breed pretty carefully in the last few days, but real life experience always helps! I hope Stella takes after her chow chow side!

Thanks so much! I'm loving having two precious puppies to spoil. Minnie is adjusting well....but Stella's personality is just starting to come out. Minnie is a snuggle-bug, so she's adjusting to sharing me with the new puppy.
