LOST CHOW CHOW IN KENTUCKY 9-2-09

Hello,
I lost my brown female chow on Kentucky Interstate 65 at mile marker 84 during a stop for a traffic accident near Sonora.
It was nearly dark and someone hit my vehicle from behind while it was stopped. I got out to look at the damage and I didn't see Sierra jump out right behind me.
When I got back in my vehicle I saw Sierra in my mirror about 2 cars behind me. Someone standing on the road tried to grab her and she got scared and bolted.
It was dusk and I walked up and down the highway calling for her without luck. The next day I returned to the area and walked about 9 miles between the Eligabethtown and Sonora exits calling for her. She is micro chipped and had a black collar on with tags. If anyone can help me find her or has seen her, I have a reward offered. I live alone and she was my best friend. Have you contacted all of the local shelters? Put up flyers in the area? What about Craigslist? Did Sierra have a collar with contact information or a microchip?

She is micro-chipped and had a rabies tag from my Vet in Wisconsin and a tag from the shelter's vet in Indiana as well.

And, even if things seem really bad, there's always still hope she'll find her way to you. My dad had a dog once that escaped, they looked and did everything they thought he could but had to move. 2 or 3 months later, there she was, she found them in San Francisco, CA. Such a big city and there she was walking down the street, wagging her tail at them. The movie and story of homeward bound isn't THAT ridiculous.

But more than that, I hope you're able to find her asap.
